Chaaaaarrrrrlliiiiiieeeeee

The masks for our Halloween costumes arrived! Now to find some pink, blue, and white sweatsuits. Methinks a trip to Walmart is in my future.

La Mesa y los piñas

We saw these awesome chairs at La Mesa in Papillion. My best guess is that they depict a pineapple farmer ...

... stabbing the pineapples ...

... gently cradling the pineapples ...

... and then taking a nap.

Meandering Mississippi

I finally arted! This is the first painting I have made since graduating from college, oh, 4 years ago. It was fun, it was frustrating, it was relaxing and stressful, at times I thought it looked great and other times I wanted to quit completely. But, I've finally gotten it to the point where I'm happy with it. After seeing the finished product, I'm much more likely to keep this up.

A little history on this painting: this was created for some friends from my hometown who are raising money for an adoption. They asked friends and family to donate items to be auctioned off. You can view my painting and all the items at http://www.j4hauction.blogspot.com/ as well as read their story about their adoption quest.
